Chapter 7

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN GOD AND MAN

By
The Man Who Saw God Face To Face

The Body
         Mankind perceive themselves as the body, the human flesh. When this body is dead, damaged or wounded, people cry and weep. They feel that something precious has been lost. However, the person who is spiritually enlightened knows that the body is nothing. And indeed, it is a corpse.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh;
and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John3:6

63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing.
The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
John 6:63

         The body is not the man created in God’s image. And as long as people believe that they are human flesh, they are tied down and therefore cannot progress spiritually. It is this believe in the false self that give rise to materialism, the pursuit of wealth as if all things depends on it. All the riches of the world gratify the flesh. The body cannot go to Heaven. In fact, it is nothing, and shall perish (pass away).

The Spirit
         For every physical object, there is a corresponding spirit body. Thus, a human being has a spirit that has the same shape as the physical body. Likewise, the animals and plants, each has its own spirit body.
         The spirit body is changeable. The spirit of a man can be changed into or replaced with the spirit of Angel; the spirit of Angel can be changed into that of an Archangel; and the spirit of an Archangel can be changed into the divine spirit of God. All these spirits are the spirits of God, each at a different level of vibration.
         The spirit does not die. It is from everlasting to everlasting, because it emanates from God.

The Soul
         The soul is the personal essence or entity. That is something that is recognized as individual; something that can be regarded as separate, but it is not separate. Once the spirit puts on the first spiritual body, it becomes a soul. Just as a spirit becomes a human being immediately it puts on the body (flesh). This soul is also everlasting. It is the seat of consciousness.
         The soul embodies the spirit. Both soul and spirit indwell the flesh (physical body). Hence, there is re-incarnation.
         The soul is both visible and invisible. It is visible in the sense that it can be seen. It is invisible in the sense that it cannot be seen. Whether in the spirit realm or in the Physical Plane, it has power to change its mode from visibility to invisibility, just as God can make Himself visible and invisible.

The Nothingness
         Nothingness is like a door, through which the spirit passes. When the spirit passes through the door, unto God, it becomes one with God, just like a single drop of water joins the ocean. When the spirit passes through nothingness into individuality, it becomes a single entity which can be treated as individual, as if, but not, separate from God. That is why some say that man came from nothing, and will return to nothing. The teaching is not true. Man came as spirit, light, from God, and he shall return to the same God. However, we should bear in mind that every spiritually enlightened person speaks to the extent he has experienced spiritual life and God.

God
         Whether the spirit exists as a separate entity or in union with God, both God and the spirit are one. That is why Jesus often said “the Father and I are one”. The same is true of every spiritually mature person. God Himself said,

He that overcometh shall inherit all things;
and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Revelation 21: 7

         It is necessary to make clear that sonship of God does not mean begetting a child the way human beings beget children. Sonship simply means that the spirit came out from God and is one with God, just as a spark of fire can jump out of fire or return into the fire.
         These explanations are true, whether people believe them or not. However, the earlier a person accepts, the earlier he begins his own journey back to God. The state of nothingness is what Jesus meant when he said,

Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself (forget the notion of self), and take up his cross (task - the teaching and practice of Truth), and follow Me. 25 For whoever desires to save his life (works for himself alone) will lose it (loses much), but whoever loses his life (lives a selfless life) for My sake will find it (unite with the God). 26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works. Matthew 16:34-27

         The statement also means to discover oneself as a spirit. A person, who takes himself as the flesh, loses the spirit self, while he who recognizes himself as spirit loses the flesh. And indeed, the flesh is bound to be lost, because it is nothing. Actually, when you become spiritually mature, you will be surprised to know that there is no difference between a dead body (corpse) and a living body (flesh). Both are corpses.
